WALKWAY RAILING
It is mid winter here and we have taken the opportunity to “future proof” some of the stairs and paths.
First down by the fernery and the big water tank and end at the start of Crabapple walk we have put railings making it safer to walk. It has made such a difference.
We aim the mass plant some lilly pillies, waterhousea and blueberry ash so that side becomes lush and looks like the path is cutting through the tress.
There are some well established trees there already but we hope to double that number – giving the area a forest vibe as you walk towards the woodland. There are some “Before” photos when we were all a bit younger!
Next railings down the front entrance of the house – these are quite steep and have gravel and wooden steps already – but falling is easy! The railing will give everyone something to hold onto and blends in well with the camellias which are next door.
It is a bit of a mess right now but come springtime – watch out!
OAK GARDEN
Underneath the two large established oak trees we have fenced in and planted hydrangeas, sedems and framed the back with over 30 clivias. It looks amazing. the best part is the pathway leading to the seat is a Mary lou pittard tiled pathway – it is as always amzing!
POTTING SHED
We are also making plans for a potting shed to be built in the spring – it is a big project but something I have wanted for a long time. if it looks anything like this AI picture I will be happy!
