Flowers are very important especially for attracting birds and give Uccello Lane the sense that we are living in a floral garden! At Uccello Lane the flowers are always on show. We have planted so that there are always blooms of every color – but really it is always – underneath it all a Purple Flower garden with the Wisteria being the Queen of it all.
We also have a love of the Salvia – and of course Roses are everywhere!
In the Perennial Meadow it is a chance to just plant flowers because you love them – Abutilons (Chinese Lanterns), Poppies, marigolds, lupins – everything and anything will grow! Under the Birch trees we underplant with Hellebores which are shy but wonderful colors – plus every year the Daffodils] come up – even the pink ones!
