Bromeliad – Billbergia zebrina

May Plant of the Month

There is a part of the garden that I dont get to much. It is the far corner up the back, near the cubby and very shady under a couple of large paper bark trees. So imaging my surprise when I walked up there and found five plants all with spectacular flowers. Google told me they were Bromeliads specifically Billbergia zebrina.

They are totally neglected and never watered but there they were and have now been flowering for more than 2 weeks!
