The yellow box ironbark tree was very old and had stood like a sentinel at the front of the garden. It had died slowly and we became more concerned that a limb may snap of and land on the road – or worse still a person! So Trav from Trav’s Trees made plans to cut it back so it could be used as a “natural habitat” and make it safe. We had to use a 50 metre crane from nect door to lift the limbs high enough for the climbers to secure by chain and then lift to the ground. We mulched as we could and kept some larger ones for garden edges. It is hard to comprehend how Trav’s boyz can climb so high – attach chains to heavy logs then cut and lower to the ground – without injury!
