La Cascata – The Waterfall

Another ongoing project was to have a dry river bed with running water just as you go through Crab Apple Walk on the way to the Woodland. We had made a boardwalk which was the start of Crab apple Walk. The dry stone wall had been build but COVID had stalled completing the waterfall which would go down the bank and under the boardwalk into a pond.

So after a lot of trial and error and watching the water “vanish” we finally got the flow right and have now got to the fun bit of planting. But the sound of the water at the start of the woodland is perfect – and I think worth the effort.
